I was feeling a bit stumped after a few years of producing butcher block, and I wanted something (a) that was a new product (b) that was still related to the food industry (c) that hearkened back to my heritage (d) that looked contemporary/modern (e) that simply had a new look... something a little weird & mysterious (f) yet was ergonomic
I came up with this, and I was really happy with the results. At the time, I was still very much in a "machine mindset"--everything had to be produced efficiently like it was a factory, and alas, that's why I stopped carrying the mug as a product. However, it still lives on as a set of unique pieces.
